DUSHANBE, April 10 — Sputnik. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Tajikistan has begun registering foreign journalists and media outlets to participate in a high-level international conference on glacier conservation as part of the “International Year of Glacier Conservation – 2025.”
The event will take place from May 29 to 31, 2025 in Dushanbe, the department reports.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs noted that media and journalists can register on the official website of the Conference until May 15, 2025.
It was emphasized that participation in the event provides an opportunity to obtain useful information from forums, thematic sessions and other high-level events.
“The conference is a valuable opportunity to comprehensively understand the topic and highlight important aspects of the event at the national and international levels,” the Tajik Foreign Ministry noted.
It is noted that officials of various levels from different countries of the world, international and regional organizations, as well as experienced experts in this field will take part and speak here.
At the initiative of Tajikistan, the UN General Assembly declared 2025 the International Year of Glacier Conservation, and March 21 as World Glacier Day.
