Cementation strengthening of the core base was also carried out with the drilling of 3,359 wells, and an anti-filtration curtain was created – 125 wells with a depth of 44 to 149 meters were drilled for it.

Work on the site is organized around the clock, in two shifts. More than 160 pieces of modern equipment and machinery are used daily on the dam’s construction.

Emomali Rahmon also inspected the progress of work at the exit of Transport Tunnel No. 9, which leads to the dam. The site is located at an altitude of 1,300 meters above sea level.
