An educational seminar on the topic “Raising Public Awareness on Climate Change and Adaptation” was held at the Main Department for Environmental Protection of the Sughd Region, with the participation of representatives of various institutions, experts, students and media professionals.

The seminar was organized by the Center for the Implementation of Investment Projects within the framework of the project “Strengthening the Process of Effective Implementation of the National Adaptation Plan (NAP) in Tajikistan,” funded by the Green Climate Fund.

During the seminar, experts delivered presentations on increasing public awareness of climate change, community-level adaptation, its impact on vulnerable groups and consequences, as well as on conducting outreach and awareness-raising activities.

Participants actively worked in groups, explored practical ways of adapting to climate change, presented their proposals and recommendations for improving the situation and expressed their readiness to apply the acquired knowledge in practice.
