Visit to the Forest Nursery of the Environmental Protection Sector in Isfara

In March 2025, with the aim of implementing the “State Program for the Greening of the Republic of Tajikistan for the period until 2040” and ensuring the fulfillment of the action plan, a “Forest Nursery of the Environmental Protection Sector of Isfara City” was established on an area of 1 hectare.

The total capacity of the nursery is 28,500 saplings. Currently, 12 species of trees are being cultivated here, including pine, juniper (archa), oriental thuja, acacia, plane tree (chinar), chestnut, northern catalpa (Catalpa speciosa), oak, evergreen privet, paulownia, crape myrtle (Indian lilac), and poplar cuttings – totaling 28,000 units.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Tajikistan, S. R. Ziyozoda, the Minister of Agriculture, K. Hakimzoda, and the Chairman of Isfara, Sh. Jum’azoda, visited the site to inspect the condition of the forest nursery.

During the inspection, the Head of the Environmental Protection Sector of Isfara, N. Homidov, provided the guests with information regarding the completed works, the current condition of the cultivated saplings, and future plans for tree planting.
