It was noted that the project “Mobilizing Tajik Youth in Rural and Urban Areas to Address Climate Challenges” aims to mobilize and unite Tajik youth for active participation in addressing climate change issues. The long-term goal of the project is to train youth as initiators of positive change and facilitate the implementation of the National Strategy of the Republic of Tajikistan on Adaptation to Climate Change through 2030.

Speakers at the event highly praised the importance of the “Roadmap for Engaging Local Youth in Environmental and Climate Protection Activities (2026-2030), prepared by the Committee for Environmental Protection.

Active young people from the project’s target districts presented reports on the activities they have implemented at the local level. Following each presentation, a question and answer session was held, where participants exchanged views and ideas, and assessed the event, which involved experts from the Committee and civil society, as effective in strengthening cooperation.
