Specialists from the Tajikistan Hydrometeorology Agency surveyed snow reserves, glaciers, and glacial lakes. In the Karatag River basin, as well as in the Shing and Haftkul districts of the Zeravshan basin, approximately 95% of the seasonal snow cover has melted, according to the Tajikistan Hydrometeorology Agency .
Agency specialists conducted aerial observations on July 28. During the flyby, they studied the condition of snow, glaciers, periglacial lakes, and other cryospheric features. Field observations and aerial photography were used for this purpose.
